EndoSystem Medical successfully held the 8th AOS seminar: bariatic surgery session

On the evening of Mar.,19, the eighth AOS (The Art of Surgery) seminar, bariatric surgery session was held online. This seminar was honored to invite Pro. Wang CunChuan from The First Affiliated Hospital of Jinan University, Prof. Liu YanJun from The Third People's Hospital of Chengdu, Prof. Wu LiSheng from The First Affiliated Hospital of USTC, Prof. Wang ZhiFei from ZheJiang Provincial People’s Hospital, Pro. Xu DaYong from The First Hospital of Changsha,Prof. Zeng MengHua from The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, Pro. Hu KaiFeng from The First Affiliated Hospital of Wannan Medical College, Prof. Dong Xing from Zhengzhou Central Hospital and Prof. Li GuangLi from Xinxiang Second People's Hospital to share and discuss clinical research experience in bariatric surgery.


The seminar was presided over by Prof. Wang CunChuan. In the opening session, Prof. Wang CunChuan extended a warm welcome to the participants from all over China and introduced the theme of the seminar, and pointed out that, to maximize the benefits of obese patients, we must not only strictly control the surgical indications and the key points during the operations, but also do a good job in case management, postoperative follow-up,records and summaries; in addition, we should pay special attention to high-risk patients with high BMI patients, and comprehensively evaluate the patient's condition to choose the best treatment plan.


In the section of keynote speech, Prof. Liu YanJun and Prof. Wu LiSheng respectively gave speeches on Techniques for Three-time Gastric Reshaping During Sleeve Gastrectomy and Treatment strategies for metabolic syndrome in T2DM with low BMI, in order to share their valuable clinical experience and surgical skills.


In the end, Prof. Wang ZhiFei, Pro. Xu DaYong, Pro. Zeng MengHua, Pro. Hu KaiFeng, Pro.Dong Xing and Pro. Li GuangLi also delivered wonderful speeches to the today’s topics in-depth discussion and exchange, the atmosphere was warm, and the seminar was a complete success.
